Philosophy

We speak plainly.

Our philosophy.

Why organic?

My life principle: “make a better world”

To leave the place where we live and work, but also where we are temporarily, at least the same or better than we found it.

That means responsibility, especially as a farmer. Do not destroy, but build and improve. With the help of biodynamics, everything is brought back to life. The soil becomes more alive as an organism. Balance sets in.

Why Piwis?

PIWIs (environmentally friendly grape varieties) are our “next generation” of traditional grape varieties. The “future of viticulture”, so to speak. Organic farming and the cultivation of Piwi grape varieties enable the most sustainable viticulture ever. The high CO2 savings due to fewer tractor passages and much lower quantities of plant protection products (PMS) are just some of the factors that confirm our philosophy and our work.

Our wine.

What does quality mean?

Is quality only what tastes good? How do I define quality? If quality is what tastes good, should it be produced at any price, regardless of nature and people? What about ethics and morals? Am I or am I acting fairly? When we talk about quality, shouldn’t we also take these criteria into account?
